Optimized Hygiene

Rachelle Rose began her career in the dental industry in 1989 when she worked as a dental office administrator.  Her interest in dental hygiene peaked after earning her radiology certification to help the dental office with assisted dental hygiene and dental assisting duties.  Shortly thereafter, she attended Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, NC and began practicing dental hygiene in 1994.

Her passion for providing optimal patient care in both general and periodontal offices is just the tip of the iceberg.  Rachelle has also served as a clinical hygiene instructor, corporate dental hygiene educator, speaker, consultant and author.  Other current memberships include:

• North Carolina Dental Hygiene Association
• North Carolina Dental Hygiene Academy of Advanced Studies
• Toastmasters, International

Rachelle jokes that a good amount of her dental hygiene education came from the “School of Hard Knocks”!  But that didn’t stop her from achieving her long term goal of earning her bachelor’s degree. She graduated from East Tennessee State University where she earned a BSDH in 2009.

The creation of Optimized Hygiene is the result of Rachelle’s continued desire to maximize patient care.  Rachelle offers consulting services and customized continuing education courses to the referring dental offices of periodontists as well as other venues. Optimized Hygiene focuses on closing the gap on periodontal disease treatment and preventive dentistry.
